The DeStarté farm has been in Glenda’s family since 1803.  Born and raised here, Glenda learned the workings of a century North Carolina farm. 

 

However, in 1989, a devastating EF-5 tornado leveled the entire area including her family farm and home.  On April 1st, 1995 after rebuilding; Glenda opened the DeStarté Gardens and Redbone Willy’s Trading Post.
